Francisco "Franco" Imparato, was called home peacefully by His Savior on February 6.
Franco was born in war-torn Italy in 1943; from there his family moved to Argentina in 1949. In his youth he worked as assistant to the director in the Manuel de Sabatini Theatre Company. After coming to the USA in 1973, Franco worked as a skilled leather craftsman. He also was employed at Dayton Tire and Rubber until their closing. Among the Hispanic community he was well-known for his creative tapas at various restaurants in the area. Eventually he established his own contracting company which he managed until he retired. Franco always found satisfaction in his painting and tiling jobs; he enjoyed a good soccer game, especially when Argentina won; he looked forward to the time he spent with his buddies; and he always loved the family gatherings. Among his many qualities was his love of family, his tender heart for helping others, and his great generosity.
He is loved and will be greatly missed by his ex-wife, Judy Imparato; special friend, Marsha Sostarich; wonderful sons: Enrico, Christian, Gabriel, and Daniel; 7 precious grandchildren; 14 brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. We miss you, Papi. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
