Francis L. Debrosse

Francis Louise DeBrosse "Frank", age 84 of Dayton, passed away July 31, 2023. He was born October 12, 1938 in Dayton, OH to the late Edward and Rose (Didier) DeBrosse. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wives, Patricia DeBrosse and Billie DeBrosse; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his children, Sandra DeBrosse, Anthony (Carla) DeBrosse, Phillip (Michele) Jones and Sherri Mullenix; grandchildren, Rachel (Jeff) Tipton, Ryan Jones, Nicole (Brandon) Mock, Timothy (Ohni) Jones, Amanda Van Scyoc and Kyleigh Jones; great-grandchildren, Jessie, Jaelyn, Brayden, Maddox, Noelle, Dominic, Madelyn and Sorayah; special niece, Karen Prater; 2 sisters and many closes friends who he called family.

Frank served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years from 1955-1959. He then spent 25 years in the Kettering Police Department as a patrolman. Following his retirement from the police department, Frank went to work and retire from the Kettering Municipal Courts as a bailiff after another 21 years. In his spare time, Frank enjoyed woodworking, mornings with his coffee friends and attending his grandkids activities.

Family will receive guests from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439) where a funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment with military honors will be held at Centerville Cemetery following the service.
