Frances Jean Rice (Lake)

Frances Jean Rice (Lake), age 73, of Kettering, passed away on March 1, 2023. She was born on November 20, 1949 to the late Betty Ruth and John Byron Lake Sr.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her son, E. Kelly Rice Jr.
She is survived by her children: Chloeann Jordan, Timothy Lake, Mark Rice, and Dane (Christy) Rice; grandchildren: Brittny, Marisa, Jacob, Jenna, Lauren, Floyd, and Brooklyn; great-grandchildren: Brayden, Colby, Blake, Evelyn, Logan, and Kaleb; siblings: Linda O'Leary, Pat Centers, and John (Althia) Lake Jr., special friend and niece, Sommer Houser; aunt Billie J. Bocock; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was a beloved mom, grandma, sister and daughter. Her children were the world to her. She was an artist who was very creative and talented. She also loved gardening and building things. Frances was a true renaissance woman. Her presence will be greatly missed by those that loved and admired her.
A visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio. Frances was laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
