Frances V. Luers

Frances V. Luers, a devoted matriarch and cherished member of her family, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025, at the age of 99. Born on February 16, 1926, Frances lived a life rich in faith, love, and dedication to those around her.

A born nurturer, Frances was known for her giving spirit and steadfast nature. She was an ordained pastor, a proud accomplishment that highlighted her commitment to her faith, which played an integral role throughout her life. Her passion for spirituality was evident in her devotion to attending church and her love for reading the Bible. These passions were reflective of not only her beliefs but also of the love she imparted to her family.

Frances was exceptionally talented, known for her ability to crochet, sew, and make clothing.

Frances is survived by her loving daughters, Vicki (Clifford) Lowe and Janet Phibbs. She took immense pride in her grandchildren, Tommy, Scott, Donald, Heather, Lee, Timmy, Stacie, Michael, Michele, Susie, David, Chris, Joey, Pam, H.A., Dane, Tammy, Tina, Beth, Tracey, Rachel, Crystal, and Larry. Additionally, she was a proud great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, who rejoiced in the presence of her great-great-grandchildren and even great-great-great-grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Herman Joseph Luers, along with her parents, Edward and Osa Manning. She was also preceded by her children Carol Smith, Nancy Phibbs, Sheila Caplinger, and Larry Luers, along with her Pastor for 25 years, Amen Williams. Their memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family.

Frances V. Luers will be remembered not only for her remarkable strength and Christian faith but also for the love she shared with her family and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness and resilience will remain in the hearts of her family for generations to come.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45424. The service will follow at 1:30pm, with Pastor Randy Warren officiating. Frances will be laid to rest at Forest Hills Memorial Garden in Tipp City, Ohio with her husband, Herman.
