Frances Margueritte Lanham, 78, of Miamisburg, OH, formerly of Rossville, IL passed away on September 8, 2008 at Kettering Medical Center. Frances was born on January 23, 1930 near Rossville, IL to the late Charlie and Zora (Phipps) Kentner. She married Forrest Mason Lanham and he preceded her in death on May 16, 2004. Survivors include her son Brian of Dayton, two sisters Zeda Moore and Glenna Hughes, brother Lloyd (Nola) Kentner, brother-in-law Earnest (Marjorie) Queen, and several nieces and nephews all of Illinois. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, June Deck and Florence Johnson. Frances was a devoted wife and mother. She always put the needs of others first and had a generous heart. Frances moved to Ohio in 2006 to be near her son. She was a member of Cross Creek Community Church, United Church of Christ of Centerville, where she was so warmly embraced and welcomed. Per Frances' request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of her life will be held at 7PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Cross Creek Community Church, 667 Miamisburg-Centerville Road with the Rev. Dr. Michael D. Castle officiating. Graveside services and burial will be held in Illinois at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Lung Association.
