Frances A. Jones "Fran", age 78 of Xenia, passed away August 18, 2021. She was born on July 6, 1943 in Dayton to Carl and Margaret (Collins) Arthur. In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Steven P. Jones, Sr., and sister Marilyn Smalley.
She is survived by her sons, Steven (Diana Baker) Jones, Jr., Charles (Krista Garcia) Jones and Robert (Jeanine) Jones; grandson Alexander Jones; brother, Carl Arthur; sister Ann McGhee; numerous extended family and dear friends.
Fran graduated from Wilber Wright High School in 1962, worked as an administrative assistant, and married Steven in 1964. As a loving mother of three, the family enjoyed traveling, yet she still made time for friends and family. She was happy to be at home, and always said she enjoyed her own company. Fran enjoyed fishing, reading, playing raquetball, and gardening. She had a passion for genealogy, thoroughly researching and writing books detailing family history. She always kept the bird feeders full, taking note of new and rare types of birds that made their way to her backyard.
