Frances "Alene" Hurst, age 82, of Dayton, OH went into the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday July 15, 2014.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John Denny Hurst Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Logan and Mossie Minton; sisters, Mildred Brown and Billie Jean Hurst; and brother, William Carl Minton.
Alene was a loving wife, dedicated and caring aunt and great aunt. She was an accomplished accountant professionally, but her main focus was giving of herself to others.
Visitation is Thursday July 17, 2014 from 1pm to 2pm with funeral service starting at 2pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
Pastor Jacob Wysong is officiating.
Burial will be at the Minton Family Cemetery, Ewing, VA.
Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
