Frye, Frances J. age 93, of Kettering, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020. She was born in Sutton, West Virginia on April 2, 1927 to the late Thomas Richard and Mary Jane Dean (nee Cook).
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Frye; son-in-law, Chester Chapman; grandson, Scott Chapman; and many siblings.
Frances is survived by her beloved children, Sharon (Chester) Chapman, Stephan Edward (Lois Jean) Frye, and Rodney Wayne (Naomi Irene) Frye; grandchildren, Wade Chapman, James R. Frye, Kim (Brent) Embrey, Melissa (Brian) Hartshorn; great-grandchildren, Alena Chapman, Jerrod Chapman, Lucy Frye, Samuel Philpot, Madeline Embrey, Elizabeth Embrey, Joey Hartshorn, Alexandria Hartshorn, Robert Dean; and a host of other family members and friends.
Frances was a devoted Christian and attended Moraine City Church of God for many years. She taught Sunday school for kids and participated in All Woman's Ministry at church. She was also a dedicated mother to her three children and many grandchildren.
In loving memory of Frances, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.
Services will be held privately. Frances will be laid to rest next to her husband, James at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W Third St, Dayton, OH 45428.
