Frances S. Ali

Ali, Frances S. age 76, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away November 12, 2019. She was born August 11, 1943, to Allen Hunsbarger, Sr. & Dorothy Evelyn Gabbard (née Kennedy).

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, James V. Ali; her beloved parents; two of her brothers, Allen Hunsbarger, Jr. & Ronnie Hunsbarger, and her son-in-law, John M. Roberts.

Frances is survived by her youngest brother, Nelson J. (Shelly) Hulce. She is deeply mourned by her daughter, Paula J. Ali & her son, Kenneth L. (Jennifer) Ali. She leaves behind loving grandchildren: Lauren, Andrew (Drew), & Brennan Ali, as well as countless relatives & friends.

While Frances seldom traveled far from the Midwest, she felt honored to open her home to people from many distant lands. She enjoyed music, science, board games, genealogy, TV, movies, and theatre; she felt a special sense of peace and fulfillment when she could devote time to reading anything from popular novels to ancient spiritual texts. Frances fondly recalled hosting and attending large family get-togethers. Mostly, she looked forward to every chance she had to brag about her grandchildren or cuddle next to them.

Frances was strengthened by her faith and by her interactions with others. She was generous, sensitive, and incredibly kind. In this season, especially, she would want for us, her immediate family, to give thanks for the many people who have touched our hearts during this difficult time.
