Floyd T. Ellis Sr.

Ellis, Floyd Thomas Sr., age 72, of Kettering, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2007. Floyd was a United States Navy Veteran and he was a retired truck driver with Teamsters #957. He was a member of Miami Shores Baptist Church, American Legion Post # 598, Miamisburg Moose Lodge, and Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Floyd is survived by his wife: Shelva J. (Montgomery) Ellis; sons and daughters-in-law: Floyd T. Jr. (Barbara ) Ellis of Kettering, Randy L. (Sue) Ellis of Jamestown, Mark A. (Sue) Ellis of Kettering; daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara J. (David) Collinsworth of TN, Evelyn L. (Rob) Carpenter of Jamestown; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, 4 brothers, and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 26 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering with Reverend Doug Surber officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until time of services.
