Floyd Jetters, age 84 of Dayton, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at The Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 15, 1930 in Lawrence County, KY to the late Hurbert and Kentucky (Perry) Allen. Floyd was preceded in death his sons, Floyd Junior and David Jetters; daughter, Patricia Jetters; sons-in-law, Bennie Spencer and Frank Gurther; grandson, Kevin Spencer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Willie Jane Jetters; 2 sons, Roger (Pamela) and Rick (Sherri); 2 daughters, Doris Spencer and Betty Gurther; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Floyd served during the Korean War on the front lines in the U.S. Army. His hobbies included but not limited to, attending, serving and loving church, planting flowers and food in his garden, fishing in his spare time, working as a master mechanic and carpentry work for friends that needed help. Floyd's number one love in his life was his wife but he held a special place in his heart for his grandbabies.
