ESSINGER, Floyd "Jake"
age 86 of Moraine, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 25, 2006 from his beloved home. Floyd was born September 28, 1919, the son of Clyde and Edith Essinger. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki and her husband, Barry Philpot; granddaughters, Starr and her husband, Matt Markworth and Lori and her husband, Randy Stacel; great grandchildren, Abigail Joan Markworth, Andrew Benjamin Markworth and Riley George Stacel; sister, Millie Parthemore; sister-in-law, Katie Essinger; special little buddy, Lindsey; and a host of nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan Essinger; sister, Mary Smith; and brothers, Ray, Raymond and Ira Essinger. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Doug Surber will officiate. Contributions may be given in Floyd's memory to Hospice of Dayton.
