He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Geneva Dempsey; sisters, Dorothy Liette and Betty Sizemore.
He is survived by his wife, Maggi Dempsey; 2 children, Shawn Dempsey and Jill Dempsey (Ben McLear); 12 grandchildren, 2 sisters, Penny (Dale) Mitchell and Janie McManious, and his beloved dog, Luda.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home,4104 Needmore Rd. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 25, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to, Day-Mont Behavioral Health Care, 1520 Germantown St., Dayton OH 45408.
