Florine Jones

JONES, Florine P. age 90 of Venice FL, formerly of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008. She was preceded in death by Delbert, her loving husband; parents John and Maude Purcell; son Billy Jones; sisters, Kathryn Baber, Christine Stidham, and Gene Estes. She is survived by daughters, LaThonia Schneidewind of Council Bluffs, IA; and LaVena and husband John Purdon of Sarasota, FL; son Delbert (Butch) and wife Phyllis Jones of Venice, FL; grandchildren, Kitty Schneidewind, Kimberly Hyndman, Dale Schneidewind, Debra Messersmith, John Purdon Jr, Delbert Jones II, Kary Jones, Mark Williams, and Billy Jones; and numerous other relatives and friends. Florine retired from General Motors after 26 years of service. She was a member of the Moraine Heights Baptist Church prior to relocating to FL. She was a dedicated, hard working mother who will be dearly missed. Funeral service will be held 2PM Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. The family will receive friends from 1PM until time of service at the funeral home. Pastor Duard Bowron will officiate. Interment to follow at David's Cemetery.
