Florence M. Mobley quietly took her last breath at her residence on October 16, 2023, under the care of Pro Medica Hospice Care. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold L. Speaks and Jeri Lena Speaks, as well as her brother Roland F. Thomas
Florence Mae Mobley was born on April 21, 1940, in Dayton, Ohio. There she obtained formal education through the Dayton School System and worked as a pediatric nurse where she gained the respect of her coworkers for her dedication and strong work ethic. She went on to complete trade school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she gained skills that afforded her the opportunity to work in retail for several companies. Her final career move was working as a receptionist for the Dilworth, Paxon Law Firm located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she worked and retired after more than 30 years of dedicated service. In addition to her work, she was a faithful member of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her children: Najee Ullah Madhi of Springfield, OH, Carma Wilbert of Dayton, OH, Michael Mobley of Glenside, PA, Joy Lewis of Norfolk, VA and Daryle Mobley of Cheltenham, PA; daughter-in-law Cynthia Mobley of Philadelphia, PA; son-in-law Vernon Lewis Jr. of Norfolk, VA; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; sister Carol Jackson of Denver, CO, two brothers Anthony Speaks of Beavercreek, OH and Maurice Speaks of Dayton, OH; sister-in-law Mattie Speaks of Beavercreek, OH and a host of nieces and nephews.
Florence will always be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who was always willing to show kindness and help others in whatever way she could.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 1:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). The family will receive guest for half an hour prior to the service.
