Florence Hamilton

HAMILTON, FLORENCE LOUISE

71 native of Texas, residing in Centerville, passed away Monday, May 17, 2004 at Southview Hospital. Florence was born May 15, 1933, the daughter of Willie and Jewel Dixson. She enjoyed all sports and was appointed the family sports fanatic. Florence also enjoyed gardening and children. She will always be remembered for her big heart and generosity. Florence is survived by her children, Ronald L. Hamilton, Melba Maxwell-Shelby and husband Terrace Shelby and Leon N. Hamilton, III; sister Pearl Mosley; brothers, William and Alvin Dixson; grandchildren, Nina Roy, Wesley Hatchett, Jennifer Hamilton and Sean Hamilton; and life-long friends, William Roy and Edward Hatchett. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Samuel Dixson; and niece, Debbie Dixson. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 21, 2004 at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
