Fern Maureen Hollon

HOLLON, Fern Maureen (nee Allen), age 87, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010. She was born February 24, 1923 in Milledgeville, OH, the daughter of the late Manfred E. and Maggie (Hodge) Allen. In support of World War II she was employed as a laborer at NCR in Washington Court House. She also held various other jobs and enjoyed volunteer work for her church and her community. Maureen is survived by three nephews, Mark, Chris, and Curtis Allen and their families; sister-in-law, Delsa Allen; three step-sons, Tom, Jim, and Stan Hollon; special friend of 70 years, Harry V. Shoop and his daughters, Elaine Bouslog and Patty Kendrick and their families; other relatives and friends, including the caring staff and friends at Forest Glen Health Campus in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Hollon; brothers, Kermit Allen and Estel Allen; step-son, Kenneth Hollon. Burial will follow in Milledgeville Plymouth Cemetery in Milledgeville, Ohio.
