Faye E. Younger, age 72 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born April 13, 1945 in Lexington, Kentucky the daughter of late Marvin Younger and Gladys Jordan.
In addition to her parents, Faye is preceded in death by her siblings, David Younger and Belinda McLagan.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Younger; grandchildren, Joseph A. Younger, Joshua D. Younger and Samantha K. Younger; great-grandchild, Aubrey Weaver; sister, Joyce Gabbard and sister-in-law, Linda Younger as well as many nieces and nephews.
Faye was a high school graduate in Ohio. She served in environmental services and later as a patient care technician for Miami Valley Hospital for 32 years before retirement. Faye loved playing BINGO and did several times a week for decades. Not even her illness could prevent her attendance. She was an active grandmother and enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren. Granny was always up for a basketball, horseshoes or a friendly neighborhood game. Faye was an avid Elvis fan, enjoyed a good WWE match, collected clowns and had an incredible green thumb. She will always be remembered for her work ethic, dedication to family and Coca Cola.
Family will host a memorial gathering from 5:00-9:00 pm Sunday, May 6, 2018 in memory of Faye at the Beavercreek VFW Post 8312, 2389 Dayton Xenia Rd, Dayton, OH 45434.
