Faye Vaughn

November 30, 1938 — January 2, 2025

Faye Vaughn, a cherished member of her family and community, was reunited with her Lord and Savior on January 2, 2025, at the age of 86 in Dayton, Ohio. Born on November 30, 1938, in Hazard, Kentucky, Faye dedicated her life to serving others, especially during her lifelong career in home health care. Her nurturing spirit was a guiding light to many, and her impact will reverberate for years to come.

Faye was known for her warmth and kindness. She was as sweet as she was vibrant, her personality shining just as brightly as her beautiful blue eyes. She had an incredible ability to connect with others, having a network of innumerable friends and acquaintances; indeed, it seemed she knew just about everyone. Her genuine love and care for those around her were evident in all her interactions, and she devoted her life to serving the Lord with all her heart.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her children: Aaron Vaughn, Gail (Dave) Miller, Arnie Lynn Vaughn, and Diane (Keith Kerg) Bowling. Faye took great joy in her grandchildren: Andrea, Christi (Billy), Brad (Erica), Brian, Adam (Paige), Rachel, Sarah, Cody (Tina), and Hunter (Katie). The arrival of her great-grandchildren — Elliott, Noralyn, Penny, Ava, Wesley, Maci, Maddix, Makinna, Merritt, Von, Maddie, Cooper, Anthony, Nicholas, Harlow, Ryley, and Gabby — brought her endless smiles, and she eagerly anticipated the birth of Lainey Kate Vaughn in July 2025.

Faye's legacy will also live on through her siblings: Mary Lou "Mer" Bowling, Bill (Shirley) Bowling, Judy (Jerry) Campbell, Gary (Clara) Bowling, and Billy Bowling. Her beloved fur-babies, Grace Ann, Honey Bee, and Lacy, were constant companions in her life, sharing in the love she so freely gave.

Faye was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur Vaughn, who remained her devoted partner throughout their lives together. She also mourned the loss of her son, Danny Joe Vaughn, and her daughter-in-law, Lesa Vaughn. Faye now rejoins her parents, Sim & Fannie Bowling, along with her siblings who have passed, including Arlie Bowling, Earl "Bug" Bowling, Shirley "Babe" Rose, Giles Bowling, and Doug Bowling.

A visitation to honor her life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 9:00am to 10:00am at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, followed by a funeral service that will be held at 10:00am. As her friends and family gather to celebrate the remarkable woman Faye was, they will undoubtedly remember her unwavering love, bright spirit, and the countless ways she touched their lives.
