Fay Edgar Leiter, 90, of Huber Heights, passed away on March 5, 2020. He was born in Dayton on September 28, 1929 to the late Albert and Ella (Slusser) Leiter.
Fay worked as a Meat Cutter for Kroger, and retired from GM as a security guard.
He married the love of his life, Shirley, on March 31, 1951. The two shared 68 happy years together. Fay took great pride in his family. He loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church and a proud US Navy Veteran. He was also a Mason.
Fay was a loving, caring, and compassionate husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley; son, Kim Leiter; grandson, Shawn Leiter.
Fay leaves to cherish his memory, loving children, Penni (Joe) Tullis and Robin (Dwight) East; grandchildren, Nicki, Melissa, Dylan, Warren, and Mindi; daughter-in-law, Donna Leiter; 13 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A celebration of Fay's life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020, 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm at Newcomer North Dayton Chapel (4104 Needmore Road). The service will follow at 4:30 pm.
The family would like to express their gratitude to life-long friend and caregiver, Renea Waite, for all her care, compassion, and love throughout the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be in Fay's memory to Hospice of Dayton.
