Farris Morgan, Sr.

Farris Morgan, Sr., age 80 of New Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Jerolene Morgan; granddaughter, April Dawn Hamm; parents, Elijah and Mary (Hamblin) Morgan; and numerous brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his children, Larry Morgan, Mary McCollum (Ronnie), Linda Gossett, Farris Morgan, Jr. (Ellen), Angelia Morgan; and Marcella Morgan; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Morris (Arlie), and Jackie Campbell (La Vern); special brother-in-law, Odis Thompson; life-long special friend, Bobby Jenkins; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Farris was avid about helping others, and being a good, honorable, Christian man. There will never be another like him. Farris never met a stranger. He loved antiques, garage sales, and flowers. Farris was very patriotic and stood up for what he believed in.
