SWICK, Farley, age 83, passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at Walnut Creek Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 12, 1926 in Lost Creek, W.V. to the late Farley and Mellie Swick. Mr. Swick is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Ruby Swick (Castle); 3 daughters, Barbara (Nickey) Jackson of Washington CH, OH, Connie (Urb) Hillenbrand of Burlington, KY and Donna (Scott) Harrold of Miamisburg, OH; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; 3 sisters, Mary Williams of Fairborn, OH, Virginia (Bill) Holmes and Carol (Harold) Kelley both of Clarksburg, W.V. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army and made his career as a Dayton Fire Fighter for 22 years before retiring. Farley loved singing and playing the harmonica. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 29 at 10:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, 45439 with Pastor Doug Surber officiating. Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Heritage Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or Miami Shores Baptist Church, in his memory.
