Everett Davis

DAVIS, Everett R., age 93, of Port Orange, FL, and formerly of Dayton, OH, died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Hospice of Volusia, FL. Everett worked for McCalls Corporation and retired in 1978 after 26 years. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and water skiing with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Clista Davis; his sisters, Vivian Fenwick, Violet Rice, and Geneava Plesinger; his first wife of 49 years, Tessie L. Davis; his sons, Richard and Frank. He is survived by his second wife of 14 years, Emma Lou of Coco, FL; daughters-in-law, Sue Davis of Dayton, OH, and Mary Davis of Port Orange; 9 grandchildren, Vicki Lynn Clouse (OH), Cindy Seay (CA), Rick Davis (FL), Bruce Davis (OH), Rob Davis (OH), Brenda West (FL), Kimberly Clark (NY), Frank Davis (FL), and Tina Beeghly (FL); 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, March 24, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH, 45424). Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Worship Center (3350 Benchwood Rd., Dayton, OH, 45414) with Pastor Ron Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
