Evelyn "Dee" Severs

Evelyn "Dee" Severs, age 78, of Kettering, passed away February 6th, 2023. She was born December 3, 1944 in Greenup, Kentucky, and was raised in Kettering, Ohio.

Dee graduated from Fairmont West High School, Class of 1963. She started her career in the Real Estate industry, and went on to work for Citywide Development in Dayton as a Mortgage Counselor for first time homebuyers.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband Walter Severs Jr., her mother Garnet Salyers, her sister Gloria Coleman, her brother Mike, grandson Jonathan, nephew Doug Salyers, and niece Tara Salyers.

She is survived by her children Mike (Marion) Severs, Tim (Sheila) Severs, Cindi Springer, Brian (Donna) Severs, Doug Severs, Darryl (Carla) Severs.

Dee is also survived by her grandchildren Kaitlin (Steff), Ryan, Ariel, Justin, Allison, Abigail, Bowie, Josh, Colt, Kristina, Michael, Jeffrey, Chad, Phillip, Kelcie, Catherine, and along with several great-grandchildren; her siblings Helen Hall, Ray (Sharon) Salyers, Jim Salyers, Ken (Phyllis) Salyers, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loved ones.

Dee was very dedicated to her family and valued the time they spent together. She looked forward to family reunions and enjoyed catching up with everyone.

Dee had a tremendous impact on the many lives she touched over the years, not only through her career but through her childrens' lives as well as their friends. Dee was a strong, determined and inspiring lady with a quick wit and a loving sweetness. She will be held close in our hearts forever.
