Evelyn Marie Newland

Evelyn Marie Newland (Norman), 85, of Englewood, Ohio, left this earth to join her beloved husband Richard on December 21, 2022, the Winter Solstice. Born on January 31, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio to Thelma and Orville Norman, she attended Wilbur Wright High School. She was retired from Kroger after 30 years of service. She was an active member of the West Milton VFW/Eagles.
She is survived by 5 children: Rick (Gina) King, Bruce King, Lynda Swank, Angela Newland, and Thomas (Cindy) Newland; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Chuck (Mary) Norman; sister Sharon (Larry) Shelton; and nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 12:30pm on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio. Following the service, she will be laid to rest with her husband at Polk Grove Cemetery in Vandalia, Ohio.
