Evelyn Michaels

Evelyn L. Michaels, age 66 of Union, passed away June 15, 2012. She was born November 12, 1945 in Good Hope, Ohio to the late Rollo and Ona Deakyne. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Deakyne; and uncle, Arthur Peters.

Evelyn is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dennis Michaels; daughters: Charlotte Grandjean, Janice (Christopher) Harris and Penny (Tom) Hornyak; 4 grandchildren: Hannah, Austin, Dani and Billy; brother, Arthur (Cathy) Deakyne; sister-in-law: Virginia Deakyne; and nieces: Janet Jean and Tina.

Evelyn enjoyed spending her time crocheting and researching family geneology. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday. Burial to follow at Minnich Cemetery, Union.
