GANT, Evelyn L., age 74, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe and Al Sliver. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 54 years, Eugene "Red" Gant; children, Douglas Gant, Cindy (Mike) Sopko, Michael (Melissa) Gant, Tony (Janie) Gant; 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Mary) Sliver and their children, James (Rochelle) Turay, Paulette (Mark) Opalewski, Steve (Lena) Sliver, Debra Shaw; and many other friends and relatives. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 3, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). Services will be held Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park. Donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Evelyn's memory.
