Evelyn L. Albrecht

Evelyn L. Albrecht (nee: Woodburn)
Age 90, of Huber Heights, OH passed away on 17 Feb 07 from complications from a stroke. She was born June 16th 1916 in Cleveland VA. Daughter of Robert Roy Woodburn and Almeda O'Dell. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard R. Albrecht, Sr., and two brothers.

She is survived by her four children: Sue Albrecht (Ray Richards), their children, Alexia, Brieanna, Cecilia and Durham of Charlottesville VA; Bonnie Fisher (John), their children Jason and Ashley of Beavercreek, OH; Richard R. Albrecht, Jr. (Judie) of Beavercreek OH, their children, Kevin and Tonya of Yellow Springs OH; Robert E. Albrecht (Sherry) their children Emily, Jonathan and Julianne of Yellow Springs, OH; her step-daughter Judith Sayger (Tony) their children, Tim, Joanna, Tabitha, Justin and Crislyn of Bellbrook OH; her sister Charlotte Woodburn of Dayton OH and several great-grandchildren.

Evelyn graduated from Steele High School in 1936, and went on to receive her BS in Home Economics and Dietetics from Mary Washington College in 1942. She was employed by Elder and Johnson from 1942 to 1952. She worked with her husband operating Albrecht's Christmas Tree Sales from 1957 to 1999 in three locations, E. Third St in Dayton, E. Dayton Dr. Fairborn and on WPAFB. She also worked with her husband operating Albrecht's Top Soil Sand and Gravel hauling business from 1952 to 2001. Her faith in God guided her throughout her life and she cared deeply for her children.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday February 26, at Newcomer Funeral Home (North Chapel) 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton OH. Family and Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery, 118 Woodland Ave., Dayton OH.
