Evelyn Kathryn Rohr

Evelyn Kathryn Rohr, age 88, of Dayton, departed this life on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
Evelyn was born on March 3, 1928 in Wilmington, OH to the late William & Hazel Collins Michael.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Rohr Sr.; son, Richard J. Rohr Jr.; son-in-law, Mark E. Florkey; sisters, Martha, Marcella, Virginia, Mary, Charlotte and Darlene; brothers, William, Raymond, Bobby, Roger, Douglas, Forrest, Larry and Wayne.
Evelyn retired from the Montgomery County Medical Society. She was a scout leader and Sunday school teacher. Evelyn was an avid reader, singer, writer, cook, painter, Bengals/Reds fan and yodeler.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Rohr Florkey; grandchildren, Shannon (Christian) Florkey Prince, Justin Rohr, Brian Florkey, Scott (Christina) Florkey, and Laura (Christopher) Florkey Guffey; great-grandchildren, Grace, Andrew and Ava Prince; sister by heart, Hazel "Snork" (Richard) Day and numerous relatives.
Her sweetness, love, friendship and faith will always be a part of our lives.
A service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery in Beavercreek, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hospice of Dayton or Blessed Hope Baptist Church, Kettering, OH.
