Evelyn Hazelwood, age 92 of Dayton, passed away November 2, 2019. She was born April 21, 1927 in Granger County, Tennessee to the late George and Martha Jackson. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Paul Hazelwood; daughter, Judy Kelley; 5 sisters; and 3 brothers.
Evelyn is survived by her children: Irma Stamps, Rex Hazelwood and Diana (Jim) Hay; sons-in-law: Tom Kelley and Rick Stamps; 6 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Evelyn retired from Grandview Hospital after many years of service. She was a faithful member of First Light of Vandalia Church. First and foremost Evelyn loved the Lord, her Savior. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm.
