Evelyn Geswein

Geswein, Evelyn L., age 85, of Dayton, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born May 29, 1923 in Dayton, the daughter of Charles & Elsie Horner. Evelyn loved her children and grandchildren and was always in attendance at their sporting events. She also enjoyed bowling. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Horner; and her sister, Carol Moak. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, James Geswein; sons, James "Irish" (Paula) Geswein of Kettering and Jeff (Darlene) Geswein of Dayton; grandchildren, Janine (Mark) Rayney of Kettering, Jamie (Andrea) Geswein of Huber Heights, Kyle (companion Missi) Geswein of Dayton, & Neil (fiancee Erin) Geswein of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Garrett, Gage, Gabriel, & Gavin; and a special niece, Brenda Seagraves. The family would like to thank the ICU nurses at Miami Valley Hospital, Ed, Tish, Claudia, Rita, Rhonda, Donna, Rick & Amanda for all of their care. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, OH. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of services.
