Evelyn C. Bettinger Hirsch

Age 91, passed away April 23, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Hirsch; son, Joseph Hirsch; daughter, Sandy Smith; grandson, Fes E Snyder; great-grandson, Nathaniel Hall-Littlejohn; parents, Raymond and Katherine Bettinger; and sisters, Audrey Howard, Lois Bettinger, and JoAnn Hager; brother, Jack Bettinger. She is survived by her daughters, Cecilia Cates of Dayton, Deborah (Martin) Millikin of West Alexandria, and Christine (Herbert) Hall of Beavercreek; sons, Michael (Gayle) Hirsch of Beavercreek and Robert A.(Julianna) Hirsch of Springvalley; 14 Grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Mason of Riverside; and brothers, Chuck (Pat) Bettinger of Alabama , and Raymond Bettinger of TX. She retired from Mad River School system and was a huge Cincinnati Reds fan. Evelyn was a long time member of St. Helen Parish. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 28, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5086 Burkhardt Rd. Prayers will be at 9:15 am on Monday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Interment to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 3:00 until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
