Evelyn C. Bigler, age 93, of Kettering, this great handmaiden of the Lord was called home to her reward on Saturday, February 1, 2020.
She lived the last few years of her life at Oak Creek Terrace in Centerville, Ohio, where she was an inspiration and light to all.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her mother & step-father, Beulah & William Prophater; and husband, William Bigler.
She is survived by her sons, Kenny Bigler, Lynn (Sheila) Bigler, and Paul (Jennifer) Keller; grandchildren, Terry (Ariane) Keller, Kent Keller, Joshua (Amber) Keller, Parker (Paige) Keller, Austin Keller, and Robert, Hannah and Jessica Sheff; great-grandchildren, Arica and Lilly Thomas, Emily Keller, Jude, Mia, and Wade Keller, Lilly Strunk, and Daisy Keller; and many other relatives and friends.
Evelyn was born August 14, 1926 in Arkansas City, KS. She moved with her mother to Ohio and graduated from Centerville H.S. Evelyn later became a volunteer nurse, until she married William Bigler. She worked at Centerville Quick Print as the Bindery Supervisor. Evelyn retired and became a full time grandmother. She was a volunteer at the Lighthouse Christian School. Fulltime member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church, Pastor Bradley Smith, where she was a Sunday school teacher and greeter throughout the years.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 9-11 am at Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 2221 Harshman Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. The service will follow at 11:00 am. Evelyn will be laid to rest at Washington Twp. Cemetery, Centerville, Ohio.
