Eva Frances Schooley

Eva Frances (Durr) Schooley of Konawa, Oklahoma and formerly of Geneva and St. Charles, Illinois was born on December 21, 1943, in Troy, Ohio, her father, Merrell, was 24, and her mother, Dorothy, was 24. She married Bernal LaVelle Schooley Jr on May 26, 1968, in Piqua, Ohio. They had two children during their marriage. She died on August 23, 2024, in Seminole, Oklahoma, at the age of 80.

She was raised as a Christian in the Church of Christ and became a Baha’i as a member of the Baha’i Faith in 1986.

During her lifetime, she was a Navy veteran and served as a Navy Photographer and later she was employed as a Micrographics Technician at Northern Illinois University until she retired.

She is survived by her children Bernal LaVelle Schooley III of Livingston, Texas, and Sharilyn Elizabeth (Schooley) Taylor of Konowa, Oklahoma; grandchildren Alicia Kathryn and Emily Rose Schooley, and Samuel Love and Jacob Evan Taylor; siblings Doris Comer, Donald Durr and Richard Durr.

Graveside services will be held 11am Friday, September 13th, at the Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
