Eugene Walker

WALKER, Eugene, 87, of Beavercreek, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012. He attended The Vineyard Church in Beavercreek. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and worked for 39 years at General Motors. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ervin, Joseph, Aaron, Lois, and Myrtle Walker, Josephine Brown, and Marie Leonard. Eugene is survived by his wife of 35 years, Loretta (nee Dyer); his 4 children, Stephen (Anita) Walker of Springboro, Douglas (Lara) Walker of Cincinnati, Sharon (Maurice) Andrien of Naples, FL, Don (Cathy) Walker of Frankfurt, KY. He is also survived by his 7 step-children, Rodney (Melody) Matheson and Alex (Susan) Matheson of O'Fallon, MO, Jonetta (Norman) Davis of Riverside, Ruth (Michael) Peters of Trotwood, Don (Michelle) Matheson of Lewisburg, Richard (Annalies) Matheson of Dayton, Harold (Deborah) Matheson of Xenia, and one sister, Lillian Jones of Toledo, OH. He was the World's Greatest Grandpa who made treasures of memories for 7 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, 16 step grandchildren, 15 step great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 4-6 p.m. Funeral Service will follow at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Dayton National Cemetery on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 10 a.m. Donations to Hospice of Miami Valley in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
