Eugene Overton Shilt
July 10, 1925 — January 12, 2019
Eugene Overton "Geno" Shilt, age 93 of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Wright Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born July 10, 1925 in Dayton, Ohio the son to the late John and Susan Shilt-Wilburn.
Eugene retired from Delco Products. He was a long-time member of the Fairborn F.O.E. (Fraternal Order of the Eagles). He loved dancing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Well; second wife, Ruth "Eloise" Shilt; and brothers, Charles Shilt, Bland Wilburn, Jr.
Eugene will be missed by his dear friend and long-time companion, Ethel Haddix; three sons, Emerson Shilt, Johnny Shilt, Rodney Shilt; four grandchildren, Bonnie Roarke, Eugene Shilt, Danny Shilt, Tammy Lewis; and friend, Steve Haddix;
Family will receive friends Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 2-5 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton where the funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2019. Burial at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
