Eugene Howard Raffel Jr.

Eugene Howard "Gene" Raffel Jr., age 85 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at home. He was born December 31, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Eugene Sr. and Bertha Raffel.

Gene was the owner of several bars in the Dayton area. He loved boating at Grand Lake St. Mary's, as well as collecting cars and motorcycles. He also enjoyed going to auctions.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Dan Raffel; grandson, Dan Raffel Jr. and great grandson, Kollin Berry.

Gene is survived by his daughters, Kathy Smith and Debbie (Rick) Carr; grandchildren, Jesse Smith, Krystal (Greg) Dearth, Kara Smith, Katelyn Smith, Amanda Carr and Rachel (Matt) Dunn; great grandchildren, Jade Smith, Ocean Smith, Lyric Dearth, Cole Sisk, Elliana Sisk, Mila Sisk, Kohen Jones, Easton Berry, Thea Gandee, Alexander Dunn and Kinsley Dunn; and girlfriend, Gail Milton.
