Eugene Jergens

Eugene J. Jergens, Age 80, of Dayton, passed away February 23, 2005 at
Miami Valley Hospital. He was born August 16, 1924 in Dayton, OH. He was a loving husband to
Charlotte (Madascy) Jergens for 60 years. Gene graduated from Kiser High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Navy and was an active retired member of Carpenters Union Local 104, Dayton and participated in the Retired Carpenters Club. Gene is survived by his beloved wife Charlotte Jergens of Dayton, 7 sons, Christopher, Mark, Daniel, Bernard, Todd, Benjamin, and Eugene Jr. He was grandfather to 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson He was preceded in death by his son Nicholas. Memorial Service Mass will take place 10:00 AM Monday at St. Joseph Church, 411 E. Second Street, Dayton, OH. with Father Lou Osterhage celebrating. Burial and military honors will follow at Dayton National Cemetery at 12PM. Friends may call from 2-4 PM Sunday, Feb. 27 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd.in Kettering. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
