Eugene Jackson, age 85 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017. He was born September 13, 1931 in Rome, Georgia to the late Robert and Everlee Jackson.
Eugene retired from Fox Dry Cleaners. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Mary Ann Jackson; siblings, Ernest Jackson, Roosevelt Jackson, Wallace Jackson, Jerry Jackson, McArthur Jackson, Odessa Jackson, Kay Francis Jackson, T.C. Jackson, Robert Jackson, Heck Jackson, Jobi Riggins and Sarah Jackson.
Eugene will be missed by his loving sons, Ernest Jackson and Roger (Paula) Smith; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including special friend, Carolyn Cartwright.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Friendship Village and Vitas Hospice for the care given to Eugene.
Family will receive friends Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. Interment West Memory Gardens.
