Eugene G. "Gramps" Fille, age 93 of Beavercreek, OH passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born July 26, 1925 in Cincinnati, Ohio to George and Marie (Iuen) Fille.
Gene proudly served his country in World War II in the US Army as a combat engineer. He was the recipient of five Bronze Stars and was a soldier at Normandy Beach, Battle of the Bulge, the Ardennes, Black Forest and Northern Europe. Gene loved to fish, spend time with his family and friends and was a member of the Beavercreek Senior Center where he loved to play Bingo. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Eugene is survived by a son, Patrick (Wendy) Fille; three daughters, Barbara Sue (Don) Ferguson, Cathy Ford and Brenda Teague; a granddaughter Tiffany (Duncan) Lewis and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronald E. Fille; a daughter, Janah Michelle Beckelheimer; the mother of his children, Patricia; and his significant other, Linda Weber.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested in Gene's name to the Beavercreek Senior Center, 3868 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
