Age 87, of Bethany Village, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Rachel Beeching; and by one of his brothers, Edwin Beeching.
Gene is survived by his wife of the past 62 ½ years, Rosemary (Rudolf) Beeching; two sons, Doug (Lynn) Beeching and Gregory (Julie) Beeching; six grandchildren, Brian Beeching, Nicholas (Stephanie) Beeching, David Beeching, Melissa (Steve) Roberts, Jack (Mandi) Boyer and Daniel Boyer; one great grandson, Caleb Roberts; one brother, Herbert (Dorothy) Beeching; one sister-in-law, Jane Beeching; and by his brother-in-law, Harold (Marjorie) Rudolf.
Gene was a 37-year member of Trinity Lutheran Church. During WW II he served in the United States Army Air Corps. He retired in 1975 from Wright-Patterson AFB with 33 years of service. Gene was a member of John W. Durst Masonic Lodge and a recipient of the Lodge's Meritorious Service Award; Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton; and the Antioch Shrine where he served with the Temple Guard.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday (6/27), at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday (6/28), at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6540 N. Main St., Dayton. Friends may visit the family at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Gene to the Antioch Shrine or the American Heart Association.
