Obituary Notice
For
Etta Marguerite Wilson
(1920 – 2007)

"I walk in solitude
Down the lane of my dreams,
The sky ablaze with a brilliance
So magnificent, beyond belief . . . "

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Etta Marguerite Wilson aged 87 passed away 6/06/07 at Heartland Nursing Home in Beavercreek, Ohio. Hers was a life of service dedicated to meeting the needs of others. She was a sensitive, intelligent, and quietly confident individual who generously shared her many strengths. Marguerite was born 7/23/20 in Seneca Falls New York the third child of Loel Edson Hudson and Myrtle Benjamin Hudson (both deceased). She was devoted to her four siblings and is survived by Dorothea Somerville, her beloved sister and friend. June Sabine, Annette Long, and William Hudson predeceased her. Marguerite graduated from Waterloo High School, took courses at Auburn Community College, and completed her training at Rochester Business Institute. She was the Business Manager at Romulus Central School (Romulus, New York) retiring in 1982 after 20 years of dedicated service. Marguerite was a conscientious and respected manager who was well liked due to her great sense of humor. She met her husband, David Steven Wilson, during WW II when she worked at the Sampson Naval Training Center and he was enlisted in the Navy. They married in July 1943 and lived happily together for 50 years until his death in 1994. She is survived by three children: Sally June Landrum (Dayton, Ohio); Sue Anne Hotto (Alexandria, Virginia); David Steven Wilson, Jr. (Geneva, New York); and Thomas Dana Wilson (Geneva, New York). Marguerite is dearly missed by her grandchildren: Brett; Amy; Tia; Adam; Shauna; Evan; Zachary; Seth; and Patrick (her great grandchild). Marguerite loved to express herself creatively through poetry and songwriting. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Marguerite Wilson Memorial Music Fund (c/o1600 Hillside Drive, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Donations will be used to bring joy to the residents of the Heartland Nursing Home by supporting their music program. The celebration of Marguerite's life is on Saturday, June 16, 2007 and starts with a graveside ceremony at the Mount Green Cemetery (Romulus, New York) at 1 p.m. She was an active and devoted member of the West Fayette Presbyterian Church in MacDougal, New York. Her memorial service begins there at 2 p.m. Condolence messages for family members can be posted online at www.NewcomerFamily.com.

"So now I can face tomorrow
With God's Help, and I quicken my step
Back to the house of dreams
And yes, I am at peace."
