Ethel Marie Wood Campbell passed away on November 2, 2008. Ethel was the youngest daughter of Alphonso Wood and Clara Badgley Wood, born July 11, 1920 in Highland County, outside of Mowrystown, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father Alphonso in 1962, her mother Clara in 1978, her sister, Edna Ellanor Wood in 1918, and her brother Roy Ellis Wood in 1999. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Ronald G. Campbell and her daughter Karen S. Campbell and her nephews Charles Edward Wood and Donald Eugene Wood. Ethel was a graduate of Centerville High School in 1938 and was a member of the Centerville Marching Band. For many years she was employed at the National Cash Register Company in office services and the NCR printing division. Ethel and Ronald Campbell were married on July 31, 1948, in her parent's home, which was located on Alexander-Bellbrook Road outside of Centerville, Ohio, in Washington Township. Ethel was a devoted member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Dayton, the Westminster Presbyterian Women's Sewing Circle, the Waynesville Quilters, and the Friends of the Mary L. Cook Public Library. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the David's Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Kay Davis-Dudding officiating. The family will receive friends at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) on Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 P.m.
