Ethel M. Northern

Northern, Ethel Mae age 70, of Riverside, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012. Ethel was born July 7, 1942 in Duluth, KY to Ermon and Cloya Turner. She was an active member of Evangel Church of God and the Women's Auxiliary of The Gideon International. Ethel spent much time as a Church of God Chaplain and a Hospice volunteer. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, William Northern; children Greg (Jane) Northern, Jeff (Lori) Northern, and Pam McIntosh; Goddaughter, Anita (Robert) Craighead; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Ermon (Bernice) Turner, and Lannie (Elizabeth) Turner; and many other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or The Gideon International. Friends may call 5-8 pm Thursday September 27, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. where Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, September 28, 2012. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
