Esther Simpson

Esther L. Simpson, age 98, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born January 17, 1916 in Adrian, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Victor and Minnie Thompson.

In addition to her parents, Esther is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Simpson; sister, Myrtle Greer; brothers, Clayton Thompson and James Thompson.

Esther is survived by her 4 children, Lawrence (Diana) Simpson, Leona (Sam) Slagle, Sylvia (Jim) Dement, and Anita (John) Poling; brother, Howard (Mary) Thompson; sister-in-law, Ruth Thompson; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous other family members and friends. Esther was a 43 year member of Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene.

Family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene, 1850 North Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
