Esther Munsey

Esther Munsey, age 76, of Centerville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord Monday November 21, 2011. Esther was born November 17, 1935 in Staten Island, New York to Tonnes and Ruth Eilertsen. She married the love of her life, John W. Munsey December 4th, 1954. Esther was devoted to her family and valued faith, hard work, and higher education. She graduated high school at the age 16 and later in life was proud to pursue challenging course work at Fairfax Community College, Virginia, and Sinclair Community College in Dayton. She enjoyed her professional career as a marketing manager and became integral in company operations. She was a talented musician and loved to play piano and organ for her church.

She is preceded in death by her parents Tonnes and Ruth Eilertsen; and brother, Carl Olsen. Survivors include her beloved husband, John Munsey; children, Mark Munsey (Patrick), Kathy Wenk (Tom), Jeff Munsey (Lisa), Diane Jung (Thom); and grandchildren, Maura, Alex, Tommy, Madeline, Kyle, Tyson, Tyler, Christina; brother, Tom Eilertsen (Joy); sister, Ella Hansen; and a host of other relatives.

Esther was a devout Christian who loved to serve her Lord. She devoted her later years to her missionary and charity works. Esther was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend and we rejoice in her life.

The family will receive visitors at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH on Friday November 25, 2011 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be Saturday November 26 at Newcomer Funeral Home at 10 AM.
