Esther M. Laird

LAIRD, Esther M., age 73, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her brothers, Joe Mercer and Phillip Herres; special friend and caregiver, Judy Webb, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Esther loved life and was well loved by those who knew her. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, and her canine companion, "Buttons". Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Holy Trinity Church, 272 Bainbridge St., Dayton. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
