Esther Kay Burns, age 68 of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021. She was born September 24, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of James and Mary Moebius.
Kay retired as a Medical Receptionist after many years of service and was currently working part time at Jamestown United Methodist Church where she helped the church serve the local community. She was loved dearly by all who knew her.
Kay was a very kind, patient and caring woman. This was seen in her jobs in the health care field and the church, as she always put others first. She loved her children and grandchildren and spending time with her entire family. She was a talented artist, painter and crafter; she enjoyed sewing, gardening and collecting antiques. She also loved going to the casino with her brothers, Dick and Steve. Kay was a loving wife, mother and Nanny who will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Vickie Wallace.
Kay is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael; children, Kimberly Marie (Matthew) Bradford & Michael Christopher Burns; grandchildren, Ayden, Autumn, Phoebe & Ari; siblings, Richard "Dick" (Mary) Moebius, Debbie (Mike) Chambers & Steve Moebius; father-in-law, Mitchell Burns and many other loving family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family on Saturday June 12, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Beavercreek Event Center (1585 Grange Hall Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432, at the corner of Dayton-Xenia Road and Grange Hall Road).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Kay's memory be made to a charity of one's choice.
