Estella Lockwood, age 92 of Dayton, reunited with her husband, Richard Lockwood on April 6, 2018. She was born August 24, 1925 in Seco, KY to the late John and Mary (Young) Boyd. In addition to her parents, Estella was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Kocher and daughter-in-law, Brenda Lockwood.
She is survived by her son, Donald Lockwood; grandchildren, Randy (Diana), Rhonda (Troy), Tammy (Matt) and Kelly; great-grandchildren, Erica, Michael, Steven, Aaron, Ben, Claire, Zoe, Ashton, Adasynn and Grace; siblings, Elizabeth, Bennett and Betty; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Estella was a faithful Christian who looked to glorify God in all things. She was a preschool teacher for a number of years and also devoted time to leading Children's Sunday School at Faith Missionary Church. She was a prayer warrior and would often hand write bible verses that she had specifically chosen and give them to friends and family going through difficult times.
Family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Newcomer Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, OH where a funeral service will begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow the service at Willow View Cemetery.
