Ervin "Doc""Moose" Leonhard

Ervin M. Leonhard D.D.S. "Doc" "Moose", age 86 of Riverside and formerly of Gnadenhutten, OH , passed peacefully Monday, December 8, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Sandy and daughters, Lisa (Randy) and Lori; step-daughters, Michelle (Chuck) and Kim; step-son, Scott (Karen); step-grandson, Scottie and step-granddaughter, Ashlyn.

He was the last of eight siblings. After graduating high school, Ervin joined paratroopers 82nd airborne. He attended Muskingum College where he played football and went on to graduate from The Ohio State University in Dentistry. Past exalted ruler of Dayton Elks Lodge #58. Past Master of the Masonic Lodge #405 and a member of the Scottish Rite.

Moose loved chopping wood, music, gardening and Katie, his beloved puppy schnauzer.

An Elks service will start at 6:30 PM on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UCP or Shriners Hospital, in Ervin's memory.
